Very often, unreliable businesses use it as a tactic to reel the customer into a false sense of safety.

(c) The order appointing a receiver must clearly state whether the receiver will have general power to manage and operate the defendant's business or have power to manage only a defendant's finances.

Damages may not include any damages incurred beyond a point two years prior to the institution of the action by the consumer protection division.

(k) An offer of settlement is not an admission of engaging in an unlawful act or practice or liability under this subchapter.

The court may issue temporary restraining orders, temporary or permanent injunctions to restrain and prevent violations of this subchapter and such injunctive relief shall be issued without bond.
